A well established, exciting, dynamic, entrepreneurial practice located in Newcastle is seeking an acquisition opportunity which is either based in the Newcastle area or is within a 2 hr drive or flight from this region which may include areas such as Sydney, Brisbane or perhaps select regional centres.

Ideally the firm will have a couple of partners at most with up to $3 Mill in fees where the current equity holders are seeking an exit strategy but have the strong desire to ensure their clients and staff are ‘loved’ by another firm. That said, should a younger partner wish to remain in a senior employee role to benefit from the future direction of this firm that will also be considered.

Services will include broad ranging accounting, super and tax compliance as well as perhaps business advisory or CFO type assistance. Financial planning is not sought. Clients with an average annual fee of $3K – $5K suit this opportunity to a tee with a selection of more significant clients also well suited to this proposal.

A firm with a good mix of lodgements is the target whilst those heavily into stand alone individual returns are unlikely to suit. The firm doesn’t need to be high tech, paperless, innovative, or up to the minute with the latest programs, as these are elements that will be introduced by purchaser to underpin the growth and development of both clients and staff.

However, a transition period of 1 – 2 years will be required by the departing practitioner(s) with any Newcastle based firm to be relocated into the purchaser’s current premises.
