An ideally established base from which to grow your firm in this prime area of Melbourne, or a suitable fee base to bolt onto an already developed practice.

This well-established and long-standing firm is located approximately 15 kms from the CBD in Melbourne's highly sought-after south-eastern suburbs, with fees circa $850K for FY 2026. Its longevity dates back to the early 1990s, having been based in this general area throughout that time. Services include bookkeeping, payroll, the preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, SMSFs and sole traders, as well as management advice, tax planning and registered office services.

  • 329 individual ('I') returns — 24% of revenue
  • 1 partnership
  • 45 trusts — 33% of revenue
  • 39 companies — 16% of revenue
  • 29 super funds — 13% of revenue
  • 20 quarterly BAS
Client Base and Fee Spread
  • The average annual client group fee is around $3.5K.
  • The bulk of revenue is generated by fees above $3K per annum, with the strongest proportion in the $5K–$10K and $10K–$20K fee ranges.
  • There are no clients with annual fees above $30K per annum.
  • The top 20 client groups for FY 2025 contributed around 36% of overall revenue, including the largest client at 3%.

Clients are mainly Melbourne metro based, although not necessarily within close proximity to the firm's office. They range in age from their early 20s — as children of other clients — through to business owners and investors in their mid 70s. Most clients have been with the firm for more than 15 years, with a next wave of business owners under 40 now coming through. There is no particular industry specialisation. Additional services such as financial planning, mortgage broking, business coaching and CFO-type services are not currently offered, leaving clear growth opportunities for an incoming firm. Growth has typically arisen through referrals from existing clients and local lawyers, as well as the firm's location.
