December is the larger of our two annual reports. Alongside charge rates and salaries, it covers what your firm spends and how it performs.
Current and proposed charge rates and salaries across professional and administrative roles, including audit, financial planning and insolvency.
Part AKPIs, commentary and comparisons that show how your firm's productivity and profitability sit against industry reference points.
Part BDetailed benchmarking of the top 19 expenses firms incur other than salaries, so overheads can be reviewed against a real reference point.

Participants onlyFirms that submit their figures pay the participant rate and receive an individual comparison that non-participants do not get.

Salary expectations move quickly, and last year's figures are a poor guide to this year's offers.
Rates left unreviewed fall behind rising salaries and overheads, and the margin goes with them.
Non-salary expenses tend to rise gradually and go unchallenged without a reference point.
Current and proposed rates and salaries, reported by location, revenue and partner numbers.
Your 19 main non-salary expense categories set against other Australian firms.
Forward-looking data to support partner discussions, budgets and year-end reviews.
The December 2026 report follows the same format as previous editions. These pages show how the benchmarks are set out.
