Reach buyers you cannot reach on your own — without handing over the sale.
Your practice is published on the Rob Knights Practice Broking website and sent by listing alert email to registered buyers, with a consultation with Michelle Knights before it goes out. Listings are published without identifying particulars and stay live until sold, with edits at no extra cost.
You write the advertisement, handle enquiries directly and negotiate on your own terms. No commission on the sale.
Optional add-ons below: professional advertisement copywriting, a confidentiality agreement drafted for your practice, and a feature in our monthly newsletter.
Please note: A confidentiality agreement template is already included in the Sell or Buy a Practice Without a Broker toolkit. If you have purchased that toolkit, you do not need to add one here.
A practice is worth what a competitive market will pay. The difficulty in running your own sale is rarely the paperwork — it is reaching more than one or two possible buyers. This listing puts your practice where acquirers are already searching, while you retain control of the sale.
Your listing appears alongside the practices we broke ourselves, on the site accountants come to when they are looking to acquire.
Distributed by listing alert email to buyers who have registered with us specifically because they are in the market for a practice.
Before your listing goes out, we talk through how it is positioned. A listing that attracts the wrong enquiries wastes your time and theirs.
Your listing stays up until the practice sells or you withdraw it, with edits and updates at no additional cost.
You write and manage your own advertisement, handle enquiries directly, and negotiate on your own terms. No commission on the sale.
Listings are published without identifying particulars. Interested parties see enough to assess the opportunity, and nothing that identifies your firm.
Most self-managed sales do not fail on the documents. They fail on the buyer pool. The seller approaches the two firms they already know, both decline or offer poorly, and the process stops there — often after the most obvious buyer in town has already seen the figures.
Three additions are available at checkout. They exist because they are the three things self-managed sellers most reliably get wrong — and each of them is difficult to correct after the fact. If you are also buying the Sell or Buy a Practice Without a Broker toolkit, check what it already contains before adding to your order.
A confidentiality agreement prepared for your practice, so an interested party signs before anything is released. Of everything in a self-managed sale, this is the one failure with no remedy afterwards — once a competitor holds your client numbers and fee composition, that information does not come back.
Buying the Sell or Buy a Practice Without a Broker toolkit as well? A confidentiality agreement template is already included in it. Do not add this option too — you would be paying twice for the same document. See what is in the toolkit.
Your listing written by us, in the format buyers are used to reading. A listing that understates the practice attracts fewer enquiries; one that overstates it attracts the wrong ones and unravels at due diligence.
Your listing featured in our monthly digital newsletter, in front of an audience of practitioners built over decades — including buyers who are not actively searching but will move for the right opportunity.

We confirm your details and arrange a phone consultation with Michelle Knights.
You supply the advertisement, or we write it if you have added professional copywriting. Michelle reviews the positioning before anything is published.
Your listing goes live on the website and out by alert email to registered buyers, with a reference code so enquiries reach you without identifying your firm.
Enquiries come to you. You decide who to release information to and on what terms, and you negotiate directly.
This is the option for practitioners who are handling the transaction themselves but do not want to be limited to the buyers they can find on their own.
You are selling a smaller practice, or you have the process in hand and simply need to reach buyers. You keep control of disclosure, negotiation and timing, and you pay no commission on the sale.
Where a practice is larger, where there are partners or equity to unwind, or where you would prefer the process handled end to end, Rob Knights Practice Broking manages transactions directly.
The complete DIY toolkit covers the process end to end — Michelle Knights' recorded briefing on the sale process, an information memorandum template, a confidentiality agreement, an offer template, a due diligence checklist, and a client and staff communication guide with sample letters.
View the Complete ToolkitEvery DIY listing includes a consultation with me. We go through how your practice is positioned, what a buyer will look for first, and whether the price you have in mind is defensible.
If it turns out that a DIY listing is the wrong route for your practice, I will tell you that too.

Listings are published without identifying particulars — no firm name, no precise location, nothing that would allow a client or a staff member to recognise the practice. Interested parties are given enough to assess the opportunity and no more. Identifying information is released only once a confidentiality agreement has been signed.
All listings are reviewed before they go live, to confirm quality and suitability and to check that nothing in the wording would inadvertently identify the practice.
Until the practice sells or you ask us to withdraw it. Edits and updates are made at no additional cost — if your figures move or your circumstances change, send them through.
We do not act for you in the transaction. We do not vet buyers, hold information on your behalf, negotiate, or advise on the offers you receive. This is a listing service — the sale remains yours to run. If you would rather it was managed, that is broking, and it is a different engagement.
If you are unsure whether a DIY listing or a full broking engagement is the better fit for your practice, get in touch at broking@robknightsbroking.com.au or call (02) 9233 4333.
